Our Manifesto

Life should be more wonderful.

Life would be altogether better if there were more surprises; more whimsy.

Did you ever find a rare coin in a gutter?

Did you ever find a forgotten cottage in the woods?

Do you remember the first time you climbed onto a roof?

If we could bottle and sell that feeling, we swear we would.

The closest thing we can come up with is to curate a handful of curiosities and hope they strike your fancy.

The goal is for most of this stuff to be local, and for a lot of it to support artists.

NOT because local artists win me some kind of social capital. But because artists are some of the only professional wonder-seekers left.

Some of these treasures will help you pass the time. We think we all understand how dangerous our screens are. Many of us don’t know how to exist outside of that soft blue glow. So maybe a card game, or a paper airplane, or a date-night-mystery-bag will help fight the good fight against screens.

If a Wonder Outpost can bring two minutes of wonder back into your life, then the venture has paid off.

We are simply trying to curate moments of wonder where you’d least expect it.
